6 Senior Saints Sign To Play College Sports

Sydney Hoosier – Volleyball – Xavier University of Louisiana. Going into Sydney’s senior year she was a Pre-season outside hitter of the year candidate as well as the Prep Sports top 100 DFW players to watch list for 2020. She was All District teams three out of her four years as a varsity member of the volleyball team and made the TAPPS All-Academic Team her senior year. Sydney finishes her career with 625 kills, 67 blocks and 156 digs. She played club volleyball with Texas Image Volleyball where they won Colorado Crossroads National Qualifier and went on to a 5th place finish at the USA Volleyball National Championships this season. Sydney is also a four-year varsity athlete in track and basketball.

 

Sam Shafer – Wrestling – Maryville University of St. Louis. Sam joined All Saints his sophomore year. He is a three-year varsity athlete, in wrestling and cross-country. He won TAPPS State Wrestling Championship and Prep State Wrestling Championship three times at 106, 113, & 120 weight classes. As a three-year captain of the wrestling team, Sam earned MVP, most pins, wins, & tech falls in wrestling. In cross-country, he holds the fastest ASES male 5K recorded time in the past 6 years. He earned TAPPS Academic All American this school year. He has accumulated offers from multiple schools including Kentucky Wesleyan, Indiana Tech, Dixie State, Maryville, Wabash, & Central. Sam is excited to continue his academic and wrestling career as a SAINT, at Maryville University.

Ben Patterson – Football – Wyoming Seminary. Ben joined the All Saints’ Family his junior year and is a two-year Varsity Letterman in Football, Basketball, and Track. Patterson provided the Saints’ with a deep threat in the passing game accumulating over 50 catches, 800 yards, and 5 touchdowns. He has earned offers from Colorado School of Mines, University of Mary Hardin-Baylor, and Oklahoma Baptist University.

 

Hasmit Singh – Football – Washington and Lee University. Hasmit has been a part of the All Saints’ family since his first year and has been recognized as a two year Lettermen during his Football tenure. During his career, he has accumulated over 80 Tackles, 8 sacks, 2 caused fumbles, and 1 fumble recovery. Hasmit has decided on Washington and Lee over several other prestigious universities such as Trinity, Johns Hopkins, University of Chicago, and Southwestern.

 

Nic Daniels – Swim -University of the Incarnate Word. Nic has been a part of the All Saints’ Swim team since his junior year. His junior year he placed at the TAPPS Regional meet in the 100 Breaststroke and 2nd in the 100 Freestyle. He then went on to the TAPPS Division 1 State meet and placed 1st in the 100 Breaststroke and 2nd in the 100 Freestyle. His senior year the Regional and State meets were combined where he placed 1st in the 100 Butterfly and 2nd in the 100 Breaststroke! Outside of school, he is very active in a local club team where he has competed in National level meets! Nic is excited to be attending the University of the Incarnate Word.

 

Ty Johnson- Baseball – Dallas Christian College. Ty has attended All Saints’ for three years. He is a two-year varsity athlete who has helped the Saints’ by both pitching and playing 3rd base. Other interest included Midland College, Adams State University, Ranger College and Cameron University.
