Two SAINTS Pitchers Combine In Shutout Victory Against Nolan Catholic

SAINTS defeated Nolan Catholic 1-0 on Tuesday as two pitchers combined to throw a shutout. Charlie Bennett induced a groundout from Wood to finish off the game. The pitching was strong on both sides. SAINTS pitchers struck out five, while Nolan Catholic pitchers sat down three.  Bennett was credited with the victory for SAINTS. He surrendered zero runs on two hits over two innings, striking out one and walking zero. Jonathan Greve started the game for SAINTS. He allowed one hit and zero runs over five innings, striking out four Burda started the game for Nolan Catholic. He allowed three hits and zero runs over six innings, striking out three. Logan Simpson led SAINTS with two hits in three at bats.
