On Friday, Feb. 7th, the Saints girls’ basketball team will be hosting Trinity Christian Academy in their Play4Kay breast cancer awareness game. The Play4Kay initiative is a nationwide campaign by the Kay Yow Foundation, during the month of February, designed to raise awareness and funding for breast cancer research. Kay Yow, former women’s basketball coach at North Carolina State University, led a very public fight against the disease and the foundation that bears her name raises funds for breast cancer research, and champions those who are currently battling breast cancer or lost loved ones as a result. The Saints will be hosting a silent auction through the first half of the boys’ game on Feb. 7 for the pink game uniforms worn by the Saints against TCA. All proceeds from the silent auction will go directly to the Kay Yow Fund. We are encouraging all breast cancer warriors, survivors and loved ones wishing to honor those we have lost to come out Friday night and stand alongside Saints Basketball as they Play4Kay.
