Middle School Cross Country Recap
Middle school cross country had an amazing season. They competed in six challenging meets. Running in over 100 degree heat up and down hills. The team showed incredible improvement throughout the season. Jack Kale improved his personal race time by over 5 minutes throughout the course of the season. Porter Morris placed second in one meet with a season best time of 13:10.
The quality that I am most proud of is the character exhibited by this team. I watched members of this team run their race and then run with fellow teammates who needed encouragement. Austin Haley stopped in the middle of his race to help a runner from another team who had fallen. He helped the runner up and made sure he was ok before continuing on with his race. The qualities and values displayed by the members of this team are outstanding and commendable. Throughout this season they showed growth, tenacity, and dedication. Congratulations on a very successful season.
